Emotional Irrelevance
A minister once proclaimed from the pulpit,
…I just don’t see how anyone who loves God could
ever be depressed
.”

And with that one sentence he intensified the
:
•        doubt,
•        guilt,
•        confusion,
•        fear and
•        suffering of
every depressive in the congregation.

No mere emotion has the power to either indict or
validate our spiritual progress. Otherwise every
fool who took the illicit drug ecstasy would be
a canonized saint!

Sensations: be they physical or emotional, are
wonderful indicators of how wisely we are
taking care of this wonderful gift that we have
received, known as “this human body.”

It’s simple: if you take good care of
this body and brain then you’re gonna feel better, but
if you don’t take such great care,
you’ll feel worse.

In Buddhist terms we could say that every sensation is
the effect of a previous action or inaction.
In Christian terms we could
recall the Book of James:

…be thou not deceived;
what you sow,
you shall reap!

Before changing the oil, in a new car, I’d
check the user’s manual to see what the
manufacture recommends.

How arrogant would I have to be to
assume that I knew more about
my car’s needs than
those who designed and built it?

Do you want to know what your
body’s manufacturer recommends you eat?
Then check the book of Genesis. We were built to
eat the fresh, ripe, raw fruit in the garden of Eden.

Then drink only water and eat only:
•        non-starchy vegetables,
•        ripe raw fruit, and {
arguably}
•        lean meat.

For
omnivores I recommend the “Paleo Diet

and for
vegans I suggest the “80-10-10 Diet.”

Oh yeah, and there’s something else you can do.
Make real sure that…

When we rely upon external substances to
change the way we feel, we’re
doing ourselves a gross disservice.

Speed is speed,

whether
:
•        we’re getting crack from some guy on the corner,
•        we’re getting nicotine, caffeine, sugar or sugar-
substitutes from the grocery store or
•        we’re getting spirulina, blue-green algae, cacao, or
some other supplement from the health food store…

it’s still speed and the effects it will have on your body’s:
•        chemicals,
•        nervous system and
•        subtle energy
will interfere with your health, happiness and spiritual
practice.

Downers are no different
:

•        we can get illicit Quaaludes,
•        we can go to the grocery store and get booze,
beer and wine, or
•        we can go to the Health food store and buy some
sort of a sedating herbal combination.

Either way when we force the body to comply with our
every whim we’ll have to pay the piper.

Just as the Who sang,
…uppers or downers, either way blood flows!

Then use either “
Quick Path to Happy Peace’s”
concise practice found between pages 26-27 or
it’s extensive practices found between pages 19-52.

After the end of a stressful day could you desire an easy
way to quickly “
take the edge off?

Then again turn to your FREE copy of
Quick Path to Happy Peace” and use either it’s
concise practice, found between pages 60-61
or use it’s extensive practice, between pages 53-86.

Eat the right food, drink water and get plenty of:
•        sleep,
•        exercise,
•        fresh air,
•        sunshine,
•        rest,
•        loving relationships as well as
•        nurturing spiritual practice.

pat answers and quick fixes are the swift path to
great disaster.
There must be a hundred simple, easy, little things we
can do to feel happier and healthier.

So, quick,
run, don’t walk, and find a...

spiritual teacher, who has been there, who has
felt what you feel, and who has found very
specific ways to enjoy liberation from

the causes, symptoms and tyranny of
persistent, abysmal, heart-crushing sadness.

Yes, I am available for one-on-one classes, whether
they’re in-person or over the phone; but I’m very picky.
I only accept kind hearted students who demonstrate a
sincere spiritual hunger.

Could that describe you? Then…
