Tips on Meditation and the Spiritual Path

"Working too hard too just SOUND spiritual"
Last week I attended a gathering of the affluent and
insecure. The floor was a bit uneven. I lost my footing and
almost fell, but caught myself at the last moment.

Dressed like the Dalai Lama, it’s hard to miss me when I
enter a room, no less perform the slip and fall shuffle.

Seeing an aging yuppie approach me I said,
“That was exciting.”

To which he nervously replied,
“Yea, and hard on the ‘Skhandhas’ as well.”

Why did that “beautiful person” make such a pointed effort
to show me his knowledge of Buddhist doctrinal
vocabulary? Where was his compassion? Why didn't he
ask if I was "O.K."? Why was he trying to impress the
visiting Lama? Why was he trying so hard to…?

That foolish fellow failed to realized that it is far more
important to be spiritual then to merely appear so.

What then is authentic spirituality? Could it be more then
appearing clever or well-studied? Could it better manifest
as:
•        awareness,
•        spontaneity,
•        love and
•        letting go?

Buddha’s way is NOT about popularity, appearances or
superficiality. It’s about truly progressing upon the path to
enlightenment, regardless of who perceives it.

That’s why I offer the practice text {
sadhana} “Quick Path
to Happy Peace” for FREE
download, that’s why I’ve
made it’s commentaries, explanations and
empowerments
available for modest donations, that is
why this month I’ve taught the “
Treasure of the Dalai
Lamas
;” so you won’t have to rely upon blind, unstable
faith or ridge dogma, so you can escape the talons of fear
and stress, so your life can be as fulfilling and as
meaningful as you could want it to be.

There are only 7 more days to take advantage of this
month’s special discount on the “Treasure of the Dalai
Lamas;” so reserve your copy

P.S. Remember, this live telephone teaching or instructional CD is actually my
way of saying “
thank you” for the medium or small donation you could make this
month. And also bear in mind, that your donations are crucial to the founding of
San Diego County’s first
“Buddha of Compassion Monastery and
Meditation Center.”
The next generation of American nuns and monks are
counting on you.
