"Productive Crankiness"
There are many energizing, caffeinated beverages, and
often their side-effects can include spontaneous
crankiness.

There are also many energizing A-sa-nas  {
yoga moves}
that can be very energizing as well. And yes, they too, can
have the side-effect of spontaneous crankiness.

A dear friend of mine who is an NLP practitioner and “Life
coach” insists that the negative feeling of crankiness must
be combated at all costs and that joyful feelings must be
elicited; just like a programmer would work a computer’s
keyboard.

Q:        Which is more authentic; spontaneity or
           contrivance?
A:        Spontaneity!

Q:        Which is more spiritually productive; spontaneity
           or contrivance?
A:        Spontaneity!

Innumerable lives have been squandered in the foolish
practice of contriving or forcing synthetic or false:
•        joy,
•        peace,
•        love and
•        insight.

Life is short. We only have so much time and energy. So
let’s use them wisely to harness the untapped resources
of the present moment.

Student:        But I don’t want an antidote to the
present moment, I want to harness it
                        and accomplish full enlightenment!

Teacher:        Then beware… spontaneity can be
                         messy!

Spontaneity is not always pretty and seldom dignified. So
decide what it is, that you truly desire
:
•        true spiritual accomplishment in Buddha’s terms
•        or the slick dime-store, façade of enlightenment that
struts about in new age circles?

They are mutually exclusive so you can only choose one!

Student:        But I don’t want to suffer!
Teacher:        Who does?

Student:        No, what I mean to say is hey, aren’t the
                        feelings of crankiness both the
symptoms of suffering and the cause
                        of future suffering?
Teacher:        They can be.

Student:        Can? Isn’t is a certainty?
Teacher:        Nope, let’s take a vacation from our
                        preconceptions.

We can describe Buddha’s path in terms of:
•        Awareness,
•        Spontaneity,
•        Love and…
•        Letting go.

Yes, if you wander about in a clueless fog, like Homer
Simpson,

then when {
NOT if} the emotion of crankiness
spontaneously manifests it can sneak up on us and
effect our words and behavior in a devastating knee-jerk
fashion.

But, if we are walking in
awareness then once crankiness
manifests we can bring it into the path of compassion just
as it is described on pages 16-17 of “
Quick Path to
Happy Peace
.” Have you downloaded your FREE copy

So often would-be meditators complain “my mind jumps
around like a monkey franticly leaping from branch to
branch.”

Those same whiners will gripe that when crankiness
comes, it seems to stay for good and will not budge.

Great! Could you see how the stubbornness of
spontaneously arising crankiness could be the solution to
the problem of an unstable mind and roving awareness?

That is why I’m releasing the extensive explanation of
Buddha’s lost secret of the “Sutric Questions” in July; so
you can drag that spontaneous manifestation of
crankiness into Buddha’s path of insight.

How beautifully ironic is it, that the ugly emotion of
crankiness could be harnessed and used to increase our:
  • mental-stability,
  • love and
  • insight?

But the “Sutric Questions” are only as effective as your
overall comprehension of what Buddha taught. That is why
I’m making the “
Treasure of the Dalai Lamas” available for

way
}, so you can manifest the greater joy and peace that
you could already long for.
